How the Certification Programme Works
The IPC-A-610 training and certification programme has two tiers of instruction - Certified Trainers and Application Specialists.
Candidates are sent by their companies to receive five days of training in the IPC-A-610 document at an approved certification training centre.
Once they have completed the course, and have passed the examination, Trainers are then qualified to train their company’s workers in the IPC-A-610
Application Specialist training programme.
This programme will greatly assist companies dedicated to ISO-9000 or other quality assurance initiatives. As the IPC specification is a widely
accepted standard, this will have immediate recognition throughout the electronics industry.
Who should become a Certified Trainer
Any person who is responsible for quality and reliability of electronic assemblies :- i.e. quality supervisors and engineering manufacturing
supervisors with assembly responsibilities would all make excellent candidates for training.
