BEST is an American based company which specialises in repair and rework materials for Printed Circuit Boards. The most well known product is the innovative StencilQuick BGA rework material. StencilQuick consists of Polyimide stencil with a high temperature, pressure sensitive adhesive covered with a release liner. After removal of a BGA, a Solderquick stencil – chosen to suit the size and patern of the BGA - can be placed over the footprint on the PCB and solder paste or flux paste is applied through the stencil apertures. The BGA is then easily positioned onto the stencil- the BGA solder balls will automatically align with the stencil – which means that expensive vision alignment systems are not required. The stencil will also prevent short circuits between solder balls on the BGA as the apertures will create a dam around each ball and pad. Advanced Rework Technology will hold stocks of the popular BGA sizes, with special sizes available – at no extra cost - within 7-10 working days Hat Trick For Advanced Rework TechnologyBarry Morris, Susan Morris and Debbie Wade have each been presented with awards by the IPC at the recent Apex conference in California.
